Welcome to the Remote Worker certification course! This course is for anyone interested in learning more about the remote work world and becoming certified as a remote worker. The world is rapidly changing, and remote work is here to stay. Whether you are a corporate employee who works at home, someone who is transitioning to a new remote work career, or a freelancer who works in coffee shops, this course is for you. At the end of the course you will have an understanding of what remote work is and how to succeed at it. You’ll also be able to earn the Remote Worker Certification to add to your resume. Who Are We?

The lead developers of this course are Steve Waddell (founder of CTeLearning) and Josh Frisch (freelance writer and lead content developer for CTeLearning). Steve and Josh have been working remotely together for years developing industry certification courses for the career and technology community. However, that is not why they created this course. Over the years they have seen people struggling to work remotely successfully as well as talented people who feel unsure about transitioning to remote work. Steve and Josh have also seen people who were skilled and driven fail at working remotely because of a lack of wisdom, experience and guidance.  Our hope is that as more and more people begin to work remotely, we can get people skilled in the processes, tools, and concepts behind remote work and help them avoid the pitfalls. 

We must be transparent about one thing: we are being a bit mercenary here. We are constantly looking for new talent like every other growing and thriving business in the world. What we and every other employer, entrepreneur and enterprises of any scale need are people who can come in and share their skills and talents immediately without spending a lot of time figuring out how the heck to work remotely.
